It is not that the scriptures contain all answers to every possible question, but rather that, by God’s mercy and kindness, they contain everything that the man and woman of God may be complete.
The Word of God does this by pointing us to Jesus as the creator God and Lord and savior of all things. For it is vital to note that the Word of God is not magical, as if by merely owning the book we will be complete, but rather by diligent use of the ordinary means of grace we might grow in our knowledge and understanding of our creator as revealed in the scriptures.
